Can you take Huawei certification exams online from home?
Yes, with two conditions. Pearson VUE's dedicated Huawei OnVUE page is live and covers Huawei's online-proctored written exams, and Huawei's own Talent portal announced the VUE Online Proctored Exam Service in September 2025 - so written exams such as the HCIA-Datacom H12-811 can be sat from home. And further: 'Candidates residing in China mainland are prohibited from scheduling and taking any Huawei exam through OnVUE... for those candidates who are found taking any Huawei exam through OnVUE, your scores will be revoked and your certificates will be forfeited, and the exam fee will not be refunded.'
Read the second sentence twice, because it is unusual among vendors: the penalty is not a cancelled appointment, it is a revoked result after the fact. Most delivery restrictions stop you at the door; this one waits until you have passed and then takes the credential back.
