Unlike the Associate, almost nothing on the Professional is a single-fact recall question. Each item is a multi-paragraph scenario where two or three answers all "work" — the right one balances cost, resilience, security, and operational effort against a constraint buried in the prompt. You also need fluency across services you may never have touched: Organizations, Transit Gateway, RAM, Control Tower, Direct Connect, and the migration toolset.
The exam uses abbreviated AWS service names, and an in-exam reference list of those abbreviations is available while you test.
