UiPath's policy is to log in 30 minutes early for check-in and troubleshooting; more than 15 minutes late and you cannot begin, with a refund unlikely. Check-in covers technology checks, photos of you and your government-issued ID, and a 360-degree room scan of a completely clear desk. Proctor communication is in English, with a Japanese-speaking proctor option, and once the exam starts there are no breaks - you stay in your testing space, in view of the webcam, for the full 120 minutes.
What the UiPath Developer Professional Attempt Costs
The Professional-level fee is US$300 per attempt - listed as 2 Learning Credits in the program overview - plus any local taxes. Candidates testing in Japan see 42,000 yen. Payment runs through Pearson VUE by credit card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa), with cash and personal checks listed as options that vary by country, or with a prepaid voucher from the UiPath Marketplace. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from issue with no extension policy.
The retake math is published and worth planning around: If you do not pass on the first attempt, you wait two weeks to retake the exam; from the third attempt on, you wait at least one month between retakes, and every attempt pays the full exam fee. Rescheduling or cancelling inside 48 hours of the appointment - or simply not appearing - forfeits the fee outright.

The first failure pattern is breadth. Eleven domains over roughly 60 questions means whole topic clusters - Autopilot, API Automation, Resource Management - sit outside most developers' daily work, and the 70% bar does not care how strong your REFramework answers are if the newer domains go unanswered.
The second pattern is the version trap. The exam covers UiPath product versions 2024.10 and later, while most legacy prep material targets the retired UiARD track built on 2021.10 and 2022.10 content. UiPath's own exam description warns that some score reports still display an internal exam code with a legacy version suffix, and that the suffix does not indicate the product version tested - so candidates prepare against an old blueprint without realizing it.
The third pattern is logistical. An unmet OnVUE minimum - a second monitor still attached, headphones within reach, a VPN or corporate network - means immediate cancellation and a forfeited US$300 before the first question.
