At Home via OnVUE or at a Pearson Test Center

Prohibited on exam day: virtual machines and beta operating systems, phones, tablets, headphones, earbuds, styluses and watches, smart or connected devices with recording or AI features, secondary or touchscreen displays, and VPN, corporate, or public and shared networks.
Pearson's rule is to run and pass its System Test on the same device and network you will use on exam day, restart the computer beforehand, and keep everyone else off the network. Check-in opens 30 minutes before your appointment: technology checks, photos of you and your ID, and a 360-degree room scan. If any requirement is not met, you cannot test and the fee is forfeited - which is exactly why the sitting is planned against these rules in advance rather than discovered on the day.

The exam arrives as an Authorization to Test (ATT) with a 365-day window from bundle purchase to sit it, and the bundle is non-refundable and non-transferable.
ASCM does not publish a CSCP retake waiting period or a pass rate on its certification page. Anyone quoting you a fixed CSCP pass rate or a mandatory retake wait is inventing a number - treat both as unpublished and plan only against what ASCM actually says.
Where CSCP Attempts Go Wrong
The 3.5-hour, 150-question format across eight modules punishes breadth gaps: people strong in sourcing but thin on reverse logistics or supply chain risk lose points across whole sections, not single questions. The 200-350 scale means the pass line sits at above 300 - there is no partial credit for a strong domain.
The second failure cluster is logistical. OnVUE sittings fail before the first question when the System Test was run on a different device or network than exam day, when a second monitor is still attached, when headphones are within reach, or when a VPN or corporate network breaks the connection requirement. Check-in starts 30 minutes early and includes a full 360-degree room scan - an unmet requirement means no testing and a forfeited fee.
The third is calendar drift. The ATT gives you 365 days from bundle purchase, and the 2nd Chance retake only applies to a first attempt scheduled and failed inside that same window. Push the sitting to month eleven and you lose the safety net while the deadline compresses.
